SPOT began as an ambulance service in the 70's and has been serving the community of Penasco ever since. We have a Reuse center (reopening on July 1st), operate a local food distribution service, an art maker cooperative, kid's space with a ping pong table, musical instruments, books and toys,  a wellness center with Yoga, Qigong, and Massage, Wendy Wagner is also on the team as a counselor with the focus on opiate recovery. The community garden is in progress with 4 beds planted, and a roughly 10,000 square foot space ready to cultivate with water from the acequia right next to it.

We need volunteers for gardening and people who don't have a place to do it but want fresh produce can grow what they wish it will all be shared. Any of these activities can be requested by appointment monday-thursday from 10:00-2:00.
